- I'm on a journey to 50 years old in 3 1/2 years and I have decided that part of that journey is to finally loc my hair and I have chosen the sisterlocks method of locking due to the versatility that it offers. I also realize that I need to talk my way through the journey and share my experience as the other sisters who blog have been such and inspiration to me. I hope and pray that I will be an inspiration to someone else.

Thank you Southern Girl! Just checked out your blog and tried to post unsuccessfully. I am a MAC made girl. I think I had on a new one called Antiqui-Tease. I tend to lean toward the bronze/ orange tones. Some other favorites are Frenzy, Shag, Strength, Coconutty, Bronze Shimmer. Mac has a great line of lipstick and it's not that expensive. Good luck and keep checkin on a sista! I need to post soon. I go for my first wash tomorrow. I will post by the weekend.
Thanks so much for mentioning the shades you use... I'm clueless about makeup so I need all the help I can get! I'll go to MAC this weekend to see what I can find and maybe I'll have them do a consultation while I'm there.
Good luck. You will love it once you get into it. Just find the right colors that make you feel comfortable. The Mac Consultants in most places are really knowledgeable and do great makeovers! Treat yourself.
